Wood Veneer Edge Banding

Wood veneer edge banding is a thinly sliced veneer that is used to cover the edges of a cabinet constructed with plywood, partcleboard or fiberboard. Wood edging gives an appearance that the piece was constructed from solid wood. Wood veneer edge banding is sold as non-glued or pre-glued material and is sometimes sold pre-finished.
pressure sensitive wood edging

Pressure sensitive wood edging is applied by pressure and without a need for a hot iron or contact cement. Just peel the protective backing, position the veneer where it needs to go, and apply pressure. Be sure that the surface is clean and smooth.

Solid Wood Edging

Solid wood edging strips are thicker than veneer and provide a more durable edge. You can also shape the corners of the solid wood edge as desired with a variety of router bits so that the edge has a bit more character than a standard wood veneer edging.

iron on wood edging

Iron-on wood edge banding offers a quick and inexpensive way to conceal the edges of plywood and other sheet goods. It has a heat-activated glue coating that is activated with a household or veneer iron.
